Qualification Criteria for national quota spots:
A selection committee for the National Team will be announced by SSA and will comprise the National Head Coach and two other members as appointed by the relevant discipline committee. Where an Olympic Winter Institute (OWI) program is in place, the National Head Coach position on the committee will be filled by the OWI Head Program or Technical coach. Selections made by the relevant discipline committee are subject to final approval by the SSA Board.

The 4 spots were assigned already to the winners of the Austrian National Championships 2011 in halfpipe and slopestyle (the event is called Austrian Masters 2011). In case of injuries or any other events which will not allow the selected riders to participate Oslo 2012, the spots will move to the other riders following in the ranks of the national championships 2011.

Qualification Criteria for National Quota Spots:
Decisions about participation for international competitions with limited quota spots are made by the Elite Sports Committee (ESC) from our federation. The ESC consist of our elite coach, our youth coach, our elite sports coordinator and a delegation of the riders. Their decisions towards the World Snowboard Championships in Oslo is based on:
- the results from our national championships (The Belgian Open, Les 2 Alpes 2011)
- the 2 best results for each rider in international competitions
- the position of the candidate in comparison with the technical evolution line in half pipe and/or slopestyle

GBR qualification criteria set out by BSA/BSS is:
- Male & Female winners of the British Halfpipe & Slopestyle Championships 2011 in Laax, Switzerland will gain automatic qualification into the 2012 WSC.
- The winners must also be ranked in the top 100 (men) & top 50 (women) in their respective disciplines on the TTR www.ttrworldtour.com by 31st December 2011.
- If the winner has already qualified via other methods or is injured, then it will be left with the BSA/BSS committee to decide as to who takes the GBR quota spot.

In the 2011-2012 season we will use a selection of events like TTR (Open series, Pleasure Jam, O'neill Evolution etc.), our national championships 2011, Dew Tour and other events to evaluate which riders will get the national quota spots for the World Snowboarding Championships in Oslo 2012. The Finnish Snowboard Association ?s head coach will evaluate and make the qualification decsion of the candidates for the quota spots for Finland.

ITALY

Qualification Criteria for national quota spots:
The Halfpipe spots were assigned already to the winners of the “Italian Halfpipe Masters” held in Monte Bondone, January 2011. In case of injuries or any other events which will not allow the selected riders to participate Oslo 2012, the spots will move to the other riders following in the ranks of the same event. The Slopestyle spots will be assigned with a dedicated event to be held between December 2011 and 15 january 2012 in location to be announced. In case the event will not happen the announcement of the Italian slopestyle qualified riders will be based on the slopestyle results from a pool of selected events.

Holland Snowboard Association used the results from NAC in Laax, 3 – 8 april 2011, to define the national riders for Oslo 2012. If those riders will be already qualified throw other criteria or they will not be able to attend the spot will be assigned to the next rider on the ranking of the NAC 2011 in Laax.

Swiss-Snowboard is running an internal Ranking List including all Competitions TTR and FIS Results, also included are Results from Dew Tour and X-Games. The Spot will be given to the best rider, not already qualified through TTR.
• Results that are in account are starting from January 1st 2011 up untilJanuary 15th 2012. • Riders that are taken in account are all Riders that own a Swiss Passport regardless to their status on the Swiss Snowboard Team. • Selections are made after taking in account all directly qualified riders trough the TTR Qualifications Criteria. • Selections will be presented to WSF/TTR Authorities by January 16th 2012.

Halfpipe: US Snowboarding Grand Prix Copper, Colorado, December 5-10
Slopestyle: Dew Tour Breckenridge, Colorado December 15-18
Qualification Criteria: US riders will be ranked using the official results of each event. The results will then create a ranking list, which will determine the athlete eligible for the quota spot. In the event of a tie the selection committee will make the decision of the higher placing.
If a qualification event does not take place (weather, etc.) the selection committee will choose the best rider based on TTR ranking after Dec 31, 2011.
